“The Ugly Company prevents food waste by upcycling ugly fruit and transforms it into healthy dried fruit snacks. We work together with local Central California farms to source their ugly fruit that is completely edible and healthy to eat, but does not have a market usually due to cosmetic issues. To date, we have upcycled over 1 million pounds of ugly fruit. We are growing fast and are expanding our Ugly Crew.

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate, motivated and reliable marketing coordinator. In this role you will create external marketing content geared towards both B2C and B2B audiences. As a Marketing Coordinator, you will implement the marketing and communication strategy aiming for business growth, increase brand awareness, take full ownership of driving success on key platforms used for digital marketing. You will also take initiative to find and create new opportunities for growth. This role requires the ability to handle several projects at any one time as well as being able to respond quickly to online community and internal team requests. This is a full-time role located at The Ugly Company headquarters in Kingsburg, California.

➔ Execute company marketing campaigns
➔ Evaluate ROI and monitoring of channel best practices
➔ Manage the company’s social media channels with audience segmentation for B2C and B2B on multiple platforms while maintaining company voice as noted within brand strategy.
➔ Collaborate with internal teams to analyze and develop marketing campaigns / goals
➔ Understand and evaluate target consumers and their need states
➔ Implement and build company Brand/Marketing Strategies through creative marketing channels
➔ Integrate marketing strategies to align with company goals and objectives
➔ Implement current marketing budget - make budget adjustment suggestions

➔ Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher)
➔ Knowledge of content management systems
➔ Excellent verbal and written communication skills with incredible attention to detail. Every interaction, either verbally or written, is a direct representation of the company
➔ Demonstrates proficiency and affinity for social media / digital tools and platforms, and the eagerness to learn and stay current in the digital space (including, but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Youtube and LinkedIn.)
➔ Reports and Analytics - monitor the results of digital marketing efforts and report any successes or shortcomings.
➔ Displays initiative to identify potential problems and presents solutions concurrently
➔ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - focused on team success and collaboration
➔ Creative and innovative; ability to think outside the box
➔ Excellent time management skills - Must be able to maintain progress on multiple projects at the same time. Maintain calmness under pressure and ability to prioritize tasks and achieve tight deadlines
